The Issues
Here is where I stand on issues affecting Langley-Aldergrove.
Freedom of expression and faith
The Liberal Government’s politicizing of the Student Summer Jobs Program demonstrates how Leftist ideology dictates this Government’s policies, and they’ve moved from cynical to completely odious.
Removing unnecessary regulatory burdens on business
The government should create conditions which allow responsible businesses to thrive right here in Langley-Aldergrove, and then get out of the way as much as possible.
Fiscal responsibility
We need to balance budgets because it is immoral to pass on debt to our children and future generations; this is intergenerational theft, plain and simple.

Who is Steve Schafer?
Steve is a local management consultant and political strategist. He first came to Langley in 1995 during his undergrad bioscience days at Trinity Western University. Since then he has earned an MBA, married his love, and become the father of two precocious children.
Always an entrepreneur, Steve ran a couple of companies for 17 years, one predominantly IT-based and the other in promotional goods. During this time he employed dozens, helped create the Canadian division of a retail electronics merchandising company, and serviced clients such as Best Buy, Future Shop, Walmart, HBC (now Hudson’s Bay Company), Shoppers Drug Mart, Bell Canada, Telus, and more.
